Thought Provokers
A few thought
provokers to help maximise everyone’s enjoyment of The Valley.
Six
Berth Cabins - It would be appreciated if members, when booking 6
berth cabins only do so when they really need more than 4 beds, especially during
peak periods. Recently 2 families were turned away because all cabins were
booked. One of those was a potential new member. There is a compounding
effect where other families who really do need more than 4 beds are unnecessarily
forced into 2 cabins which, in the worst case, could mean that up to 4 families
are denied accommodation.
Noise
issues – At the start of the summer period when everyone was enjoying
the ambience around the BBQ area in front of the Rec Hut, we flagged the need
for consideration of those who turn in earlier than others. It was suggested
that those who wanted to kick on after midnight could move their conversations
inside the Rec Hut and away from the adjacent cabins. By and large
few problems have been experienced in this area, but there have been a couple
of incidents where younger members returning from the pool area have not been
as considerate. Could all parents please remind family members of the Rule
on noise in and around the cabins between 10pm and 8am.
Horse
Clinics and Private Lessons – To enable proper co-ordination and insurance
cover, would all organisers of such events please advise the Manager prior to
proceeding.
Soft Furnishings - Winter is rapidly approaching and in preparation for comfortable evenings around the fire we have had another generous donation of a lounge suite. With the existing lounge combo it now makes a very inviting area to relax.
PARENTS - PLEASE PLEASE can you make sure your kids and their friends respect this furniture. Jumping on it with or without boots, up ending it to make a cubby house or scattering the cushions elsewhere unnecessarily damages the lounges. Let’s look after these like they’re in our own home so we can all enjoy them for some time to come. After all Rec room means RECREATION room not WRECK room.
